there are docs in the area who really have no idea what their patient is requesting- In my case- my surgeon kept nodding in agreement as to my concerns, but the results are so far from anything I ever imagined and its too late to do anything short of starting all over with reconstructive surgery. I tried to file a complaint- but he is a slippery guy as he has been complained against before and has been sued to no avail. What can we do to pass the word along that these guys exist, they have no consideration or accountability whatsoever, and have slick representation with money never being a concern when it comes to their reputation. They deal in cash, lawyers are hesitant to sue as the suit itself is costly and no insurance companies are involved (cash) so they don't have anyone to answer to? This is a HUGE decision and financial burden to some of us and we have no way to check out the REAL opinions from past patients? You see their before and after pictures they show you in their office? Of course its only the patients that have absolutely beautiful results and are happy with their decisions.
Many doctors have memberships to several well known and respected medical organizations, but many patients don't understand that all it takes is a membership fee and no malpractice suits or complaints to the medical boards that resulted against the physician.
Any ideas? My life is affected every single day, and as far as the surgeon is concerned, its business as usual. There has got to be an outlet or some way we can share our stories.
