I stopped smoking cold turkey 29 years ago.I noticed that when the urge to light up came, if i just got involved in something, anything else the urge went away.Each time the urge comes,rather than trying to resist it through will power,just get totally engrossed in something else.If you do this you will find the gaps between urges to fight up become further and further apart.I used to smoke about every 20 minutes. That is when the urges came.Occupy yourself with something else when the urge comes,don't think about the urge and it will go away.When it returns (and it will) do the same.Don't laugh,I am living proof that this works. Cutting down gradually does not work.http://ruperts.weebly.com/
