kaanapali - better than Wailea

I've stayed on both sides of the island and I'd have to say that kaanapali is so much more fun if you're looking for nightlife, and a fun beachside restaurant scene. Wailea is beautiful and great for families, but lacks the scene. Kaanapali bay is absolutely beautiful and offers an awesome beach, free of rocks and with decent waves. The thing that I didn't like about wailea is that most of the beaches have rocks that you are constantly dodging. Make a trip to "big beach" no matter where you stay on the island.
