Wow this sucks! What if you're a big fan of iPods, (and phones...hence the iPhone) but don't wanna switch to stupid At&t, what are you supposed to do?! I think I also read somewhere that At&t and Apple have some kind of 5-year deal type thing so the iPhone won't be available for a whole 'nother 5 years! Trust me, when all your friends with At&t are getting iPhones, and you're stuck with a Sidekick 3, you can't really wait 5 years...

I'm with T-mobile, and I happen to want the iphone problem is that if something were to ever happen to my iphone, T-Mobile won't cover the insurance, and Apple only does for I think a year or two.Anybody hear otherwise?

I agree with Royalty. I like TMobile, have been with them for years. I want the iphone 3g so bad I can taste it, but I don't want to buy something that expensive and immediately give up any warranty rights, and I don't want to switch. What to do...

I wish T-Mobile could afford to just buy AT&T. I have had horrible luck with both Cingular/AT&T and Verizon. Only T-Mobile has worked out well for me. I really want an iPhone, but not badly enough to get a hacked one or switch to AT&T.

I switched from T-Mobile to (at the time) Cingular, and have regretted it ever since. "Fewest Dropped Calls (sm)"... really I have had more dropped calls with AT&T then I did when I was with Sprint before.. I noticed AT&T dropped that whole campaign in favor or "More bars (sm)" I wish T-Mobile (US) would carry the iPhone... can I buy one from T-Mobile (DE) and use a T-Mobile (US) sim card in it?

I have been a loyal US T-Mobile customer for 10 years and I simply refuse to spend a penny of my money with AT&T. I paid $600 when the FIRST iPhone was released, did the lock/unlock/jail/unjail thing until the iTunes update in 2009 rendered the entire piece of equipment unusable, UNLESS I switched to AT&T. Gave the sucker away before doing that. Was so ticked at Apple for their "deal" with ATT that I put my MacBook Pro to rest as well. Really folks, the only people who can stop the robber barons are the people who buy their stuff. I'd love the new iPhone, but I feel awefully good not rewarding either Apple or AT&T for their market manipulation.

Gave the sucker away to an existing AT&T subscriber before doing that. They didn't sell a phone, didn't get a two year contract, or a new customer. Was so ticked at Apple for their "deal" with ATT that I put my MacBook Pro to rest as well. But I kept my T-Mobile on an old blackberry and I haven't shriveled up yet. Really folks, the only people who can stop the robber barons are the people who buy their stuff.
