I live in nyc and obviously see homeless people everywhere. one night, i was feeling especially giving and went to get a cup of coffee to give to the freezing homeless man on the stoop of the pet shop right near my apartment. so, i got the coffee (even seasoned it with sugar and some fatty milk) and walked over to him. I put it in his hand, and as i walked away, i noticed he was falling asleep and he passed out on the sidewalk, totally spilling the hot delicious coffee I had just gave to him. sheesh!

you should have set the coffee near him and told him it was there. He probably just passed out from too much Bailys in his previous cup of coffee

Living in Phoenix, you almost have to beat off the begging when you pull into any gas station. It almost feels like walking into a new car dealership sometime...they secretly line up using some unspoken rule.
