I love the genre too much. It is an area of music that doesn't even receive part of the respect it deserves, mostly because the music is loud and doesn't conform to standard commercial criteria.
There is so much skill involved in heavy metal (and hard rock, so that I can include AC/DC) than many other genres of music. There are also more sub-genres than I would like to attempt to name as even these are broken into further sub-genres!
With so much talent and diversity metal music truly rocks!

hey, heavy metal rocks. the songs rock, because they can get your blood pumpin and your mind racin. Basically, a natural high.

I'm sorry, but Heavy Metal has become noise. In the 60's rock was great. Now, it's crumbling. I'll take Edwin McCain's music any day... Check out EdwinMcCainMusic.com and see what I mean.
