getting stuck in line when the cashier has to change the tape    Back to the homepage
Views: 976 Report
This happened to me last weekend and today. I'm always in a rush, and then the cashier runs out of register tape and takes their sweet ol' time to change it...URRRRAHHHHH!

KP86 (10/20): I always manage to get in the line with the person who is taking forever to pay with a check. First they have to write it out slowly, then carefully tear it out, then they don't pull out the correct ID (or there has been some previous bounced check problem that the cashier is assured "got cleared up") and the manager must be consulted, then the cash register won't accept the check and, again, the manager must come over - this time to clear the register. SDSUalumni (10/21): I haven't had that experience before but I have been that cashier to run out of tape when the line gets busy...LOL. (report)
KP86 (10/28): This happened to me last night: cashier changed it in 23 seconds. I almost blurted out, "Well done!" Tried not to look obvious as I checked my watch during the swap out -- didn't want to come across as an angry shopper P.O.'d at the poor girl trying to do her job. Maybe Farm Fresh drills their cashiers / employees on a wide variety of casualty responses . . code 3-wet, aisle 8; price check on 2; meat slicer accident -- deli, etc. (report)
