...the point being? It's his own damn album, he's allowed to download it for free if anyone is. And the point of In Rainbows is that EVERYONE is. In Rainbows is a great album, if you're a fan of Radiohead. In fact, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have sold (if that's what you can call it) quite as many copies as it did if it had been a rubbish album although I'm betting there would have been a few million copies shifted just for novelty value. It's not really revolutionary it won't ever replace the feeling of having a hard copy but it is very, very brave. Whether or not you believe that In Rainbows is just a marketing gimmick, you do have to admire Radiohead for doing it. And it really did what it was supposed to in terms of attracting attention, right? But maybe we need to stop focusing on how In Rainbows was released, and start listening to the music. Because by releasing their album this way, that's what Radiohead are trying to say that they're about.
