We all know gadgets by various names, like gizmos, whatchamacallits, thingamajigs, and so on, and they range from the sublimely entertaining, like the Slinky, to the perfectly ridiculous, like last year’s BreathCapture, a pendant that holds someone's breath so you can take it around and smell it any time you want. People have been using gadgets since the beginning of time (history) to make their lives easier and better. The hoe, the pickax, the rake are all useful devices. We all probably have our list of the coolest gadgets, and a couple of years ago, PC World announced their list of the fifty greatest gadgets, but what I’m wondering is: what is the worst gadget ever invented? The worst gadget ever invented must not be just ridiculous, but harmful. So, what would be on a list of possible candidates for worst gadget ever invented? The skateboard? The corset? eVoting? The Chastity Belt would be my choice as the worst gadget ever, but what about you, what do you think is the worst gadget ever invented?
