What's up with parents who allow their teenage daughters to dress like sluts? Why do parents allow minors to acquire piercings and tattoos?
I'm the mother of a highly talented punk musician and a child of the sixties. Our house is fairly liberal. I'm all for freedom of expression, but I just don't get the mentality of parents who wimpout and allow their kids to make decisions that will follow them for life. Altering your clothing and haircolor are benign. My rule is that permanent anatomical alterations and lewd clothing are reserved for adults who are responsible enough to pay their own bills.
My son is helping design my first tattoo (which has personal meaning for me), but he isn't allowed one until his graduation, then I'm buying!
