Why just dog the tire, BMW should be made to give a spare too    Back to the homepage

14 months ago I bought a certified 330i for my wife. She started complaining about the ride within a month. When I finally drove the car it was obvious what the problem was. I called the service rep at BMW and he told me the problem was with the RFTs. He also stated that BMW has known they are crap and because of a contract with the manufacturer they continue to put them on the cars. I feel that BMW should be made to provide a spare for every owner that has a car with the terrible RFTs on them. I just got paperwork in the mail for the class action suit against Bridgestone, but what about BMW? They should be in this too. Even if they provide me the money for the tires I replaced after owning the car for 3 months, I still had to go out and buy a spare tire and rim. Of course this takes up most of the trunk. I have been waiting to see what happens and if BMW is going to step up to the plate or just shut their eyes and hope this goes away. BMW claims to be on of the best cars on the road with no maintenance,,,,, I can see BMW losing a lot of customers over this if they don't step up and openly confront the problem. The workers at BMW are open about the problems, now what about the people behind the doors that are making millions off of the american people?

Anonymous (2/20): I cant't agree more with you. I have a 2007 335xi and have blown two tires both while on road trips. No share and stuck in remote towns. One time had to buy a different tire just to get back home. Ouch (report)
