We are so fortunate. We live in the richest and most powerful nation in the world. We owe it to every other country living under tyranny to help them become free -- free from dictators and religious fascists. That is our history, and our destiny. The Mid East is the best place to start. Hooray for President Bush.

i agree this rocks, but how do we help others see the light. Is violence the answer. I say we lead by example and let economic factors become the catylst for other nations to see the light and to rise up against their dicators.

This goofball on the right would have his head literally handed to him by a Jihadist. Sadam did have WMD he used them and moved much of them to Syria. The word of America to those who risked their lives to vote for freedom in Iraq. The belief that by keeping our word transformation of the middle east will begin. The committment of our troops and their belief that it can be done and the very simple fact that America should not do what the enemy wants... like withdrawing and giving over Iraq to them.

I totally agree that this is a war that will take many more lives but must be won in order for the peace to spread to other nations that have a history of being killed off by some powerful inhuman people and government.I believe that oil is the sole purpose but why not fight because that would be the last thing you want a powerful group of terrious being funded by a enless stream of money.May God bless all those fighting for freedom world wide.May all Canadians and Americians respect the fallen soldiers so that our nation can be free and where our kids do not have to wonder if a bomb will go off next to them.I would only hope that the fighting stays in the middle East.JS

I can't believe that there are ANY people in this country who are absolutely stupid enough to support this current administration's direction in Iraq. This war was SOLD to us by wealthy Republicans who stood to make hundreds of millions of dollars by fooling the world into believing that Saddam had WMD and that Iraq was a threat to our safety. We have lost over 3000 soldiers and 400 MILLION dollars, as we stupidly try to change a country made up of 3 sectarian groups who have hated and killed each other for THOUSANDS of years. They're going to stop deep-rooted hatred for each other just because Bush says that they should ??? That's imbecilic ! They hate each other more than they want peace ! I don't want to lose ONE MORE AMERICAN, trying to help a culture who won't help themselves. A culture who will kill their own JUST for a difference of belief, and has a lust for cutting off the heads of innocent humans, does NOT get help from me. Fuck those animals. Anyone who actually believes that we should go around the world, and force our beliefs on others is as sick as the extreme zealots who we wish to change. That part of the world has had centuries to build the bitterness and hatred that they have for each other. We come along, a mere foolish baby at only 200 years old, and try to convince them that OUR way is far superior. Humanity has worked by natural selection for almost 2 million years. Leave it alone ! Let the stupid and crazy people of the world fight and die, and leave the rest of the intelligent world for us peace loving humans, who value life more than religion.

You just said this war is THOUSANDS of years old ( see, I finally agree with something you said )and the only way to get the job done is the way we are doing it. Would you please respond with 3 examples of how the way we are fighting this war can possibly change thousands of years of hatred. Just 3 examples.
Also ... just how would I have my head literally handed to me by a jihadist ? Are radical muslim extremists hiding behind the Wendy's on Colonial, waiting in the dark, for me to pull up and order the #6 combo meal ? There are 9 million people here in Florida ... why do they want ME ???
Also, IF you had read the papers, listened to world news, and believed specialists hired by world courts to present the truth and the facts about Iraq's WMD, you would have heard, along with the rest of the entire world, that there were NO WMD in Iraq. There was absolutely NO mention of them being spirited to Syria. Foolish statements like that were produced by the Bush Whitehouse, knowing that there are millions of stupid, uneducated people in this country who would fall for these lies. And hey ... if the WMD were taken to Syria, just why would we spend 3000 lives and 400 million dollars fighting in Iraq, when the alleged WMD are just across the border in Syria ? I'd LOVE an answer to that one too.
One more thing. You being so smart and all, please tell me why the entire world disagrees with us being in Iraq ? Of all the countries who joined us in the beginning of the war, only ONE remains. Britain. If not for Tony Blair, Britain would not be there either.
