Using the phrase for death "PASS AWAY"    Back to the homepage
Views: 3238 Report
I hate this term, its a euphemism and George Carlin would agree with me its one of those words that covers up true meanings to disguise how we really feel. The person is deceased. They are dead or have died. Not passed away&that gives the picture that they fell in the ocean, or floated away on a cloud still alive&.but not somehow. Just say they died OK why are such pussies these days???

jerry_sizzzler (8/23): I prefer the phrase "kickin' it in Funkytown with River Phoenix" (report)
occaeco (7/15): I agree, I have taken a few english classes and it seems we always have to write one paper on death. All of my teachers tell us just to write "died" not some cliche like "passed away" For all who read this, this is a simple way to improve your writing skills. Kill all the cliches. (report)
