Unfortunate Tailoring on Polk    Back to the homepage
Views: 986 Report
My friend recommended I go to the tailor/dry cleaner across from Gorilla Sports (now Crunch Fitness) on Union and Polk. I took in two pairs of work pants to get them hemmed and have the waists taken in. The pricing was fine. But both pants ended up too long, one waist was too big, and the hems came undone on my second wear on both pairs. So I took both pairs back. The woman "fixed" and shortened the hems and took in the waist. She didn't charge me but gave me an annoyed look. Then I get to work today with one pair on. The waist is unchanged, and the hems already fell out again, secured in the meantime by PAPER CLIPS. So I'm back to square one. Anyone have a better suggestion in Nob/Russian Hill?

Anonymous (4/6): I heard a tailor on 133 Kearny at Post: 415-788-3452 is very good. (report)
vanescafe (4/7): Don't go to the one on Jackson and Jones (Lee's or something). It's only a $1 to get pants hemmed, but they fall out everytime I wear them. (report)
fofa (4/28): response to Anonymous-- I took the same pants to 133 Kearny-- Galeria Tailors-- and those guys are legit. (report)
