AOL sucks! They may guard its members against spammers but they don't think twice about making all their members suffer. Ones who have joined a free list can no longer get the email because some members are too lazy to unsub or be removed from the free list and mark it as spam to block it from their email.
I've had a free list available to people since 1997. I automatically unsub people after a couple bounce backs. But now AOL is bouncing ALL my AOL members emails back to me. And they refuse to do anything about it. AOL members have to be out their free issues each week and any new ones that are an AOL member that try to join my list will not be able to. It is unfair to them and to me and to other list owners. Other list owners have told me they have had to change servers cause AOL unsubs their members with bounce backs too.
I've seen reports back from robot spam checkers. They say that there is a minus 9 chance that my AOL bounced back email is spam and that it takes a rating of 6.6 to be classified as a spam message.
Talk about over doing it! AOL is unfair!
