Trade your walking shoes for cross country skis?    Back to the homepage
Views: 719 Report
I’ve wanted to try cross country skiing for years. It seems like it would be an awesome exercise aid along with walking to control my weight with my Weight Watchers diet. I was excited at the “Let It Snow!” headline and read the blurb on page 61 of my Nov/Dec Weight Watchers magazine about trying cross country skiing for thirty minutes. Then I turn the page to find out more and there’s nothing. It moved on to walk talk and other miscellaneous tips. If I want to learn more about cross country skiing apparently it really won’t be from Weight Watchers. I have to let my fingers do the walking and visit a web page they advertise. This is all well and good unless I’m reading my magazine somewhere else other than in front of a computer; which usually happens to be the case. You know, on the bus, the train; or since I’m on a diet, on a treadmill or bike. Exercise equipment is a great place to read; it is not a great place to search the web. Their attempt at being the diet and exercise resource falls short in the “mybody” section. That’s my two points anyway.
