We know that 2008 is just arriving, but we can’t help but get excited about the 2009 models that will be rolling out soon. The 2009 Toyota Matrix is one of the cars that we are most looking forward to seeing. The 2009 Toyota Matrix is a five doored wagon that can seat up to five passengers comfortably. It has a front engine and has front wheel drive and the starting price for this car looks like it will be around sixteen and a half thousand dollars.
The 2009 Toyota Matrix engine will be either a DOHC sixteen valve 1.8-liter inline-four with one hundred and thirty two horsepower and one hundred twenty eight lb-ft of torque or a DOHC sixteen valve, 2.4 liter inline-four with one hundred and fifty eight horsepower and one hundred and sixty two lb-ft of torque. The transmission of the 2009 Toyota Matrix can be a four speed automatic transmission, a five speed automatic transmission or a five speed manual transmission.
The 2009 Toyota Matrix will get pretty good gas mileage—it promises between twenty to twenty six miles per gallon when driving in the city and between twenty six and thirty two miles per gallon when driving on the highway.
