I find myself tuning into his show on my way home from work out of an outraged curiosity. It seems each day he becomes more degrading towards women, and more sexist, to put it very mildly. He's a shock jock that tries to be more and more outrageous, but you can tell he lives the crap he spews as well. The twisted thing is that he's a fat, middle-aged+, unattractive man with (to my ear) a very annoying voice who sets himself up as "Dad" to all younger generations. He preaches deception, mental games, selfishness, lies, and sexist, macho behavior over truthful, meaningful, loving relationships. As long as he has a following, young people's relationships will be anything but relationships, and the gap between men and women will widen. What appalls me even more than his voice and venom are the moronic women who call his show to AGREE with his degrading, sexist rules and treatment of women. It's so clear that they have no self-respect and are di**-whipped, to reverse the expression. His juvenile, simple-minded goal in life is to bed as many women as he can while spending the least amount of money. How does a classless pig like this warrant air time and a following by anyone but ignorant curs and the scaggy whores they deserve?

OF COURSE its misogynistic. his show is for men who are looking to GET LAID, not for any kind of long-term relationship. In relationships this advice is very misogynistic, but if you are just looking for a girl for a night it works. If you are looking for a long-term relationship YOU ARE CALIING THE WRONG SHOW. These things work to get the KIND of women who are being searched by men who are looking to get laid. it does not work for the women who are being searched for by men who want a long term relationship.

FIRST, if you were listening to Tom back in 1995, you'd know that his current schtick is just a ruse. I would agree that it's sad that such a smart and articulate guy should pursue such juvenile drivel, but don't be too easy to dismiss him.
--Secondly, Tom says again and again and again on his show that he is actually EMPOWERING women by telling them how men actually think. You, like so many other idiots, confuse IS with OUGHT. Tom is telling you how men actually ARE. You are unhappy that he isn't telling the world how men OUGHT to behave. But, your unhappiness is a result of your not understanding that how men ARE is a different topic from how men OUGHT to be. This is like the 'debate' over sex education. Sex educators tell kids how to protect themselves from sexual activity as they actually ARE practiced. Right-wingers are unhappy because these educators are not preaching how kids OUGHT to behave.
If you still don't understand this distinction, then you are just plain stupid.

Why are you all looking for reasons to hate him, when he is completely right on the ball. Sure call him fat, ugly, and a jerk; Tom Leykis worked his ass off to get where he is and loves to lay down the truth. The ones that complain on or about his show are mostly pussies, chubsters, or to put it simple single moms.
Luckily I was fortunate enough to have a father that cares about my future and decided to tell me to tune in to Tom Leykis at the age of 9. I'm currently 16 years old and have learned more things than most people in my city.

As a 53 yr. old male, I am not in Tom's target demographics, but I listen to his show because I find it entertaining. Tom is a good debater and I love it when his distractors call him to argue even if he generally talks over his callers when they take him to task. The reality is Tom's show is mostly an act. His methods may work getting guys laid, but most men with any integrity look beyond their next female conquest. Still, Tom's show is a hoot....just don't take him seriously.

The classic rock station in my city changed over to an all-talk format recently. At least Howard Stern is still on in the morning, & the trio in the midday is ok, but Tom Leykis is a total ass. And his condescending patronizing voice & stupid sound effects - which he totally lifted from Howard, by the way. "Take me out w/ a bong hit!" You can make the check out to Howard Stern, Tommy. - are so irritating. I find myself tuning in to him for the same reason you do. It's sad that people really think this way & that others follow these guys with big mouths & tiny brains. What I can't understand is how he can get any woman to begin with. And I'm not talking just the physical aspect. How can anybody stand to be in a room let alone have sex with a guy who has this kind of personality. Rush Limbaugh has the Ditto Heads, Leykis should have the "Kis Asses" or something. I'm sorry I'm not too witty today.

You cannot disagree that there is a power dynamic component to attraction. Women desire men with power. Women desire men who have a dominant reality. You assert your dominant reality without being an chauvanist. Problem is most guys have been raised as wussies (NO confidence with women) by their mom ("be nice to women dear"). I totally agree. I stopped listening to the radio station which is what I would suggest everyone who feels this way does. Contact the radio station too. Let them know why they are looking a listener. Hopefully if they hear it from enough people, they will listen.
And really, look at the man, yuck. He obviously can not satisfy a woman, probably impotent and frustrated. Or more likely has a very small you-know-what.

Why bother trying to get him off the air in our communities? Let me put it this way: If someone had a five hour show, during which they said hateful, degrading, violent things about say, black people, would that be okay? I don't think so, nor do I think it should be okay. The fact that he says things such as "women are dream killers", "get the b**** out of your wallet," that to get laid you must "treat women like abject crap", not to mention his opinion that women know nothing about politics, or his constant portrayel of women as manipulative, dis-honest, and dumb. Somehow we've decided that's okay--probably because most people believe it.
His show is more than offensive, it is violent. I am an educated, involved, and competent woman, but Tom Leykus goes out of his way every weekday to remind me that to many, I am no more than another dumb cunt.

Truthfully, the only thing that annoys me about Tom is the fact that he contradicts himself, and whenever anyone actually makes a valid point, he does the classic "stick with truth diversion," from the actual point that was just made. It also bugs me any time he brags about how much money he has. Basically, it is NOT envy! It is truthfully just a fat little boy who did not have any fun or touch a woman until he sunk his claws into his first botched-marriage-victim.
As a certified A**hole, he does do a somewhat good service toward the equality of men and women. Because Feminism actually is just the fight for equality, not special service and payment for making a a life decision. He makes great points on certain things, but if you just pay attention to him, knowing how un-trusting, bitter, and very capable of dying from being out-of-shape. Also, he keeps talking about "big game," but... could you imagine the fat, sweaty, slob actually able to please a woman or even himself for more that a "New York minute."

I just moved to California and I have never imagined that someone would broadcast such a negative personality.
He puts all females into one category like we are cattle. All women are not alike just like all men are not alike. He's like a Hitler.
