Darin - yes, he did say something like that. Since I studied the technology (outside the COS), I have become a millionaire, my IQ has increased to 146, I have a gorgeous family, three homes and I'm really, really happy. I'd say that the teachings of this philosophy has made me rich also, not just in dollars..

L ron flubbard was a sheister. He created this cult to scam morons. He is quoted as such. He has said in interviews that writing pulp novels he got paid a dollar a word but he said if a man created his own religion then that would make him a very rich man. So he created scientology to scam the insane.
