Car Thief Busted in Marina

So last night, I was walking home around Midnight when I noticed a ton of emergency vehicals parked in the Marina Green lot at the end of Fillmore, with lights shinning on the bay. The story goes that a thief was breaking into a car last night at Fillmore and Beach. A lady in her apartment witnessed it and called the police. When the police arrived, the thief jumped out of the car. Police aparently drew their guns. At that point, the thief started running down Fillmore toward the bay, and then jumped into the water to escape. It took the Coast Guard over 20 minutes to finally find him in the water, pull him onto the boat, and arrest him. I'm glade to see they finally caught this guy cause my roomates car was broken into over the weekend. I have also heard numerous stories of break in's in the neighborhood, so I would imagine this is the guy!

I'm glad they got him. I wish they would catch the guy they busted out my car window and stole my laptop. Yeah, I know, its my fault for leaving it in the car to be seen, but still I wish people had a little class about themselves. Just because I have more doesn't mean someone else has the right to take it. I should be able to live in a world where I trust people and am not paranoid all the time.
