Despite much of the teasing about my brain teaser postings, I have gotten a few emails from people asking me to post the answer. In the brain teaser described in the original posting, you should always switch your door selection. The most common answer is that it doesn't matter because you have a 50% chance. However, that's not correct. You started out with a 33% chance of guessing the correct door, but when the game host removes one of the doors, your odds are 33% if you stay and 66% if you switch. Not great, but still you should always switch. If you still don't follow, draw out a decision tree with 3 branches and each branch having to decisions (stay or switch).
