Surviving a Company Downsize    Back to the homepage
Views: 447 Report
This is the time of year when companies take a look at their bottom line figures. They plan their budgets for the new year and decide if they need to downsize, cut back or merge with another company. Its very scary to the older employee who has been there for years and is making the top dollar. But, try to look at things optimistically. You can survive a company downsize. This could be a golden opportunity for you to impress the new bosses if its a merger. They havent been working with you, so you can boost your work effort and show them how valuable you really are. If its a downsize and some of your senior employers have been let go, you can try to work on obtaining their jobs. With a little effort, youll be on your way. So, surviving a company downsize has its positive benefits, if you look on the bright side and apply yourself accordingly.
