There are, scattered around the US, several organizations called "Single Volunteers of...". These organizations take single adults who wish to meet others while volunteering and match them up with volunteer opportunities. They don't charge a penny; work entirely through e-mail and/or web pages, and help thousands of fund raising organizations, charities, and worthy causes across the country. It's truly a win-win situation. Three examples of the local chapters are The Single Volunteers of Washington DC (SVDC), The Single Volunteers of Baltimore and Annapolis (SVBA), and The Single Volunteers of Las Vegas (SVLV).
