Sprint Everything Messaging Plan Bait And Switch Data Rip Off    Back to the homepage
Views: 1079 Report
Beware of Sprint Everything Messaging plans! They have hidden data charges that they do not tell you about when you sign up for the plan. Apparently the $0.20 fee for all messages is not charged in this plan, though when sending or receiving pics or video there is a $0.03 charge per KB of data if you do not have a data pack included in the plan!!! This is upsetting many people besides me, especially when you can get a bill for several hundred dollars! Anonymous (7/22): I wouldn't say that this rocks, but it's not exactly a "hidden fee." Data charges are pretty much a standard charge on all networks, unless you have a data plan. (report)
Anonymous (10/4): seconding the fact that this isn't exactly a "hidden fee". even if they don't tell you verbally, it's in your contract. and the contract says you should read your contract. so it's your fault for not knowing. (report)

Anonymous (4/28): Unlike the other responder I have been ripped off on this plan as well. The plan states simply there is unlimited photo email. The hidden part is how you send and all the connections to the internet. They do not tell you that the photo mail requires an internet connection. So be warned that ANY INTERNET connection will be charged if you do not have the data plan to go with the messaging plan. if you block the data connection it blocks the internet and will also block sending pictures. (report)
Anonymous (8/4): this "everything messaging plan" only allows unlimited text messages. I called and they said that if the file was sent correctly and the right limit in file size, I would not incur casual data charges...yeah right! (report)
