antichick (6/12): Go to a place you like. You shouldn't try too hard to impress her. Take her some place you like - if she's right for you she'll love it. (report)
tinkypants (6/14): A16 is good but maybe too much for a first date. Yabbies is great - cozy but not romantic, awesome food, and plenty of bars nearby if things are going well. Otehr ideas: Pene e Vino on Union, Jackson Fillmore, Parma on Steiner, Market Bar. (report)
matthewelync (6/16): Take her to Rose's Cafe on Steiner and Union good palce easy atmosphere not too ovedone not too casual. (report)
mayhem (6/16): biscuits and blues... one of my favorites - and that's only if you're talking SF, and a girl with character... (report)
tahoejab (6/21): Bistro Aix and Contadina Tratoria-- great date places! (report)

Opinionated (6/12): Not a fan of A16 for a date-- great atmospere but too loud. Good for a drink then head to another spot for dinner-- perhaps Jackson Fillmore or Bistro Aix??? (report)
Scuba (6/13): Don't like A16 for a first date. Try Florio or Yabbies. (report)
Birdie (7/1): I disagree that A16 is a good restaurant for a first date. I had made a reservation and had to wait 2 hours for our table. I thought the food was mediocre and over-priced. Try Bistro Aix for a good date night and an excellent meal. (report)
