Go to a place you like. You shouldn't try too hard to impress her. Take her some place you like - if she's right for you she'll love it.

A16 is good but maybe too much for a first date. Yabbies is great - cozy but not romantic, awesome food, and plenty of bars nearby if things are going well. Otehr ideas: Pene e Vino on Union, Jackson Fillmore, Parma on Steiner, Market Bar.

Don't like A16 for a first date. Try Florio or Yabbies.

I disagree that A16 is a good restaurant for a first date. I had made a reservation and had to wait 2 hours for our table. I thought the food was mediocre and over-priced. Try Bistro Aix for a good date night and an excellent meal.
