President Bush firm on staying in Iraq    Back to the homepage
Views: 2284 Report
“I recognize their good intentions but their position is wrong,” the president said. “Withdrawing our troops would make the world more dangerous.” From President Bush Thursday, two days before CS was to lead her bunch or terrorist supporters to Washington. I completely agree with this statement, Bush is absoultely right. I wonder what Corry would have said? So all you cowards who think we should leave can sit back and watch, because we are NOT going anywhere!

ronc99 (9/25): Anyone who thinks Saddam Hussein was not dangerous to the world, is a fool. Trying to say that Saddam is and was not the problem and that we or our president is, and a lier to boot. And you call yourself an American. For all I know you are probably working for Al Queda along with Cindy. Disgracefull to hide behind the skirts of the constitution to spread your lies. Shame on you. (report)
ronc99 (9/25): And you Jimbo are a true American? I think not, I think you are on the wrong side sir. Maybe the next person to have their head chopped off by your friends will be someone you know. How will you feel then? We did not start this war on terror, but we will end it. And no unpatriotic righty will stop us, so that you can spend your days complaining about how we do it. (report)
ronc99 (9/26): Comparing our president to Hitler? What was so wrong about ridding the world of its worst mass murderer? Do you forget that Bush senior was almost killed by the madman in Iraq? No one knew what was in Iraq because he wouldnt let us in to see. He was your Hitler, not Bush. I can't believe what I am reading, how you can say the things you are. Who is Corry? You forget so soon the man who was running against Bush in the last election? And lets not forget, every soldier in Iraq is there because they volunteered. I respect and honour each and every one of them, they are serving there country proudly, and I hope not listening to the likes of you. Did you hear about the teachers that were shot? Just lined up against the wall and shot. This is what you are saying we should walk away from? This is what you say we are causing? Give me a break, go back and hide under the rock you crawled out from. Regardless of why we went in, we are there, and cannot walk away from this, like Clinton would have done. If you think people hate Americans now, wait until the day we pull out, and thousands of Iraqi's are put to death, while the media plays it on your TV sets. There is only one way to pull out, when Iraq can take care of themselves. (report)
ronc99 (9/27): OOPs, sorry Kerry is who I meant, not Corry. Hard to beleive I could forget such a dynamic individuals name. (report)
Planter (9/27): Saddam had to go. It was just a matter of time before his corrupt regime and terrorists woould be working hand in hand. Terrorism is like cancer. As soon as you discover you have it, you had better deal with it. The longer you wait the more radical the cure, if it doesn't kill you first. One thing is for certain; nobody has EVER survived cancer by ignoring it and hoping it will go away. Terrorists are like the bully in the school yard. Until they are opposed they will get bolder and more distructive. What citizen of this country cannot possibly see 9/11 as a wake up call. I support President Bush 110% (report)
ronc99 (9/30): Thanks Planter, finally someone thinking clearly. LHU wants my opinion of a Patriotic American. I believe Americans should enjoy life, liberty and freedom for all. That means doing whatever it takes to keep that freedom. We do not hold that just for our sake either, I think all means "everyone who wants it". In Iraq today hundreds are dieing every week trying to get what we have. The hoard that are killing Americans and Iraqi's are dead set against what we have. In their eyes we are evil, devils, not worthy of living. But many, many people in Iraq are not of that same view, just trying to live, watch TV, go to a play, have a drink, get married, have children. That would all be denied them and more. If we were not in Iraq, and we were fighting terrorists on our shores, how many Americans would be too many to die for freedom? If 10,000 were killed would you give up and say, OK take my freedom? 100,000? 500,000? I believe to be Patriotic, every man woman and child would rather die fighting then to succumb to their ritualistic hell, they call religion. The last man on his feet would thrash out and say "Go to hell." The posts I read here signify people would rather not have their sons and daughters die for this cause. I would not want it either, but when it is shoved down your throat, swallow hard, wipe the tears, stand up and say "May I have another" (report)
ronc99 (10/1): Anonymous, you keep confusing who we are fighting, I think. The main problem is a religious group of fanatics, not the normal Iraq people. Even they are suspect, whethter they can actually create a free society, no one knows. All I am saying is that for whatever reason we went there, right or wrong, we are there. I wish all those protesting would do so to push the generals and government to end it quickly, get it over with, and damn the bad press. Instead of just pulling out like cowards. To tell Bush we have to leave without some kind of support for those people would be total caos, thousands of people, including Americans, English, and all our other coalition support. Do you really think we can just turn around, say sorry, give us time to pack up and we will be out of here? Wake up, they are bombing us in Birma too, what about there? Should we pull our embassy out? Where do we stop, hide back in the USA and not allow anyone who even looks Arab in? No sir, there is only one way, go get them, kick their ever loving butts all the way back to hell. We are not in Iraq to just give them freedom, we are there to fight terror. If we do not have a presence in force, they will go after the citizens anyway, here there, and everywhere! (report)
ronc99 (10/2): LHU, what ritualistic Muslim faith condones cutting the heads off of innocent people? Who among your Muslim friends would say that is normal religious behaviour? I am not talking about normal religious people, these people are fanatics with a capital F. You sir are not looking at what really is wrong, and that is we have to do something about this group. I absolutely will rejoice when people protest to Bush to get out of Iraq, when these AlQuada militants and thier followers are completely beaten, and not before! (report)
ronc99 (10/7): LHU seems to be stuck on my comments about in his words, not mine, Muslim friends. I am talking about AlQueda, and last time I heard they are killing just about anyone that is not in their particular sect, or whatever they call it. I have never and will never critisize an individual for their religion unless they are trying to stuff it down my throat. Believe in what you will, its your life, but killing people because they are not of their kind is wrong. I dont care what you call it, Muslim, Islam, Jew or Christian. Killing people because they are not walking and talking your beliefs is WRONG!!!! Cutting peoples heads off can be a form of capital punishment, if that is what you do, but not innocent human beings. Lined up against the wall and shot was Nazi style. Are these type of people your friends? I sure hope not! (report)
ronc99 (10/13): Maybe tickler should watch the real news instead of what BINGO game is playing this week? Or which road is closed today. If you want to talk about important issues, you need to be SLIGHTLY informed before you make comments. Islamic fanatics are killing women, children, Iraqi police, you name it, they are killing them. Not the Americans. We are trying to find them, so is Russia, so is Britain, and the rest of the free world who wants to practice whatever belief they agree with. These guys have no patience for that, simply either beleive and join us or die, PERIOD! (report)
arealpatriot1 (1/3): aRealPatriot IS not a real patriot! (report)
Anonymous (10/25): USA..USA.. We need the worlds oil more than anyone else. Death to all who fail to recognise our divine right to rule the planet. We control the oil and our massive nuclear stockpile will keep you all in your place, at our feet. How dare anyone else try to have nuclear weapons... we invented them and as such should have the most, if not all of them (around 15,000 at the last count I believe). Damn to hell all those that hate us because of what we stand for... We only want to spread democracy and I don't care how many we have to kill to achieve it.... (report)
digitaldave (2/2): There were, and still are WMDs. Just because you can's see your brain doesn't mean it's not there, well in the case of ARP and JIMBO the case might prove differently. Even President Clinton stated how dangerous the Middle East issues are. Do som research, read some early 90s Newsweeks. Being there is keeping the butchers them out of your backyard and cutting your off. We are blessed that we attacked when we did or it would have been MUCH worse. What a bunch of blithering idiots you liberals are. Why don't you just own up and be true to yourselves at least. You are BUSH haters, and he is still going to protect your worthless backsides regardless of what of say. We aren’t going anywhere! (report)

The War In Iraq

aRealPatriot (9/25): I'd like to know how, exactly, readers like ronc99 believe that the US troops in Iraq has made the world any safer? We should bestow the highest honor upon those men and women who willingly stand between danger - of any sort, including our first responders, police, etc. - and the rest of us. They are not honored when their sacrifices are wasted upon manufactured threats - WMDs - solely to meet a selfish political agenda. Uninformed illiterates need to wake up and take a look at the facts - President Bush and his cabinet lied to Congress and to the American people, and most of all to our troops. Sadam Hussein had NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION and HAD NO PROVEN CONNECTION TO THE TERRORISTS RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11! The President has ADMITTED THAT THE INFORMATION WAS FAULTY. We, the citizens of the USA , are responsible for the actions of our leaders and the consequences of military aggression. This War in Iraqi has spawned more terrorists because it has always been ABOUT OIL - NOT ABOUT FREEDOM. Allowing one more person to lose their life or be maimed and crippled by this travesty is unconscionable. (report)
Jimbo (9/25): ronc99, I have had enough of your hateful ignorance, so this will be the last time I bother to read one of your posts. But aRealPatriot is absolutely correct. The reason there is extreme terrorism happening in Iraq is because we arrogant Americans are there trying to control the world. Saddam was a small fry we took out because it was easy. Any other oil rich Arabian country would have been more difficult. Taking him out got us a major U.S. military presence right where we wanted it. And the so called "insurgents" are mostly people defending their homeland against an invader...us! You are a brainless pawn of the people in power. (report)
LHU (9/25): 1. A mother loses her son in a war, protests the war, and for this is then called a terrorist supporter. Wow, this takes me back to grammar school. 2. Who is Corry? Cindy Sheehan's son Casey was killed in Iraq. At least get the name right. This rhetoric reminds me of the Brown Shirts in Germany. Those that cannot bear to hear dissenting voices are the real cowards and the greatest threat to democracy. (report)
Jimbo (9/26): You're damn right I'm a true American. On the wrong side? I am on the side of intelligent and honest leadership, which is why I can't stand the dim-witted dishonest president I voted against twice. It tears me up inside to watch ignorant power mad lunatics leading the country I love. He uses propaganda to create support the way the Nazis did in Germany. The Germans are intelligent people. How do you think they followed a lunatic down the path they did? Because Hitler was a master at using propaganda to appeal to their sense of patriotism and nationalism. Bush is no Hitler, but he used the same method to lead this country into an unnecessary attack on a soveriegn nation. Attacking Afghanistan was necessary and I supported it. Iraq was not, and we have not been told why we did it. You think we are the innocent victims of terrorism? Then you have not been observing our foreign policy for the last 50 years. And you think our present foreign policy will defeat terrorism? We may have temporarily diverted it from our soil, but we are fanning the flames of the world opinion against us that is at it's root. And that will increase it, not defeat it. (report)
LHU (9/28): Thank you Ronc99 for the Corry = Kerry clarification. Precision and accuracy are important in understanding the dynamic world we live in. Since you have such strong views about what qualifies as being a Patriotic American and what does not, could you please enlighten us? (report)
Anonymous (10/1): ron-ron-ron.... On the one hand neo-con supporters say 'They' are all just too different from us and 'they' all want to kill us, so lets kill them first. BUT THEN you say "hey! While we're at it, lets bring 'em good 'ol Democracy!" Confusing, yes? O.K., even if you thought this could possibly work, Ron, whats next? Iran, who is larger and richer than Iraq. And then there is Syria, and lets not forget Afghanistan. Assuming those wars somehow cost ONLY as much as Iraq, can we even afford it? (Money-wise, I mean.) And I certainly doubt we have the numbers of young poor folks willing to go over there for more of what they are getting in Iraq. I also think Americans in general will tire of this quagmire, and might even start to remember what we were all told to get us into this mess in the first place. We 'Patriots' should DEFEND our freedom, and thats not whats going on. (report)
LHU (10/1): Ronc99 – The fanatic ultra-nationalistic Christian crusading patriotism you promote is disturbing and your logic is full of too many incongruous distortions to address. Your malicious statement concerning the religious rituals of the Muslim faith particularly perturbed me. My Muslim friends would be deeply offended. Our friends that are retuning from tours of duty in Iraq are grateful they will get to see their loved ones again and none of them want be sent back for another tour. Patriotic talk is cheap, but try talking to a nine-year old and explain why her daddy, who is in the National Guard, is not home but far away in harms way. “May I have another” – that makes me sick. (report)
noadvertising (10/3): Bush supporters are divided between the rich minority that most of his policy serves, and ignorant Yahoos who've been brainwashed with pro-American bravado at any cost. Even the cost of someone else's 19-year old flesh and blood. How many of the latter idiots have their own flesh and blood over in Iraq fighting for our president's oil interests???? (report)
TicalBits (10/13): Holy crap are you an idiot ronc99. I'll be glad when your generation is no longer in power. (report)
TicalBits (10/13): "I have never and will never critisize an individual for their religion unless they are trying to stuff it down my throat. Believe in what you will, its your life, but killing people because they are not of their kind is wrong." so how do you condone what is going on in Iraq right now? We are killing people for no other reason then that they live in a place with alot of oil and mean man running it. I can think of at least 3 other countries that posed a larger threat to our "security" then Iraq. When do we get to invade them? (report)
missy (8/21): I am a conservative and I have had enough of this war. Things are worse there than before and we are losing our military for WHAT??? I for one do not buy into what we are being fed by the president or crooked politicians. You can't force democracy on a nation who doesn't want it. What a waste of lives and money. None of the Arab countries like nor respect us. Let them fight it out and we'll just keep our shores safe. (report)
Anonymous (10/25): What's the difference between killing 3000 people with a couple of planes and 100000 with cruise missiles etc.. just the uniform. Killing is killing and it makes no difference to the families of the dead. There is no justification for Iraq. WMD, Liberation, OIL... all pathetic excuses to kill other human beings. Before I get a bleeding heart about 9/11 think about this.. Bin Laden is a SAUDI... not an Iraqi. (report)
Nina27 (11/13): I Americans are stupid kmow mater what ! They are too proud (report)
