OK, this is just my take. The release of the parenting 101 book by Lynne Spears is apparently being postponed. Her publisher, Thomas Nelson Inc., (which, by the way is a "Christian publisher") posted a statement on their website, (with a quote from the Bible and all…) that gives us the impression they are standing behind Lynne's parenting book as a memoir and not as a how-to parenting guide. Personally, I'm not really concerned about it being a parenting how-to book (although that would be a joke); I'm more upset with a Christian publisher agreeing to publish a memoir of a celebrity mom like Lynne Spears. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but a Christian publisher and their books should be held to higher standards. They're not like other publishers, they don't print trashy material. What is Lynne's parenting book gonna talk about anyway - how her drug-addict daughter is missing court-ordered depos because she's too wasted to find the lawyer's office; or how her daughter, Jamie-Lynn got pregnant at 16, under her own roof! Christian publishers should publish stories with a message, something to make the world a better place - not a recap of the mishaps of Lynne Spears' children and how she's the real victim in all this. That's just my take…
