PBS pledge drives    Back to the homepage
Views: 1379 Report
I only listen to NPR/PBS/whatever only once a week just to listen to my favorite radio show, "Wait Wait Don't tell me." And this week, they're doing pledge drives. And it gets on my nerves!!!!!! I know they need the $$ but I only listen to this radio station once a week!

KP86 (10/24): Indeed, you have been victimized; come on alumni, tell us you're made of sterner stuff than that! If you listen to Public Radio: support it. They gotta get funding somehow. (report)
Anonymous (10/25): Most funding according to NPR comes from listeners .Not the government. (report)

LHU (10/22): Well, if we increased federal funding to the PBS the pledge drives would be shorter& But then again this would never happen because PBS is a political football for both the right and the left, and not as independent as e.g. the BBC. If you like Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, you may also like Car Talk. (report)
