Calling Nagin a leader is like calling a woodpecker a carpenter! He had his own responsibilities to discharge and he did them miserably. Now he's pointing his finger in every direction to take the spotlight off his own (significant)failings.

Time to rethink black or females leading anything. The mayor couldn't do anything for the citizenry except yell that someone else wasn't doing his job..and the governor...was just a crying baboon from the get go. Once again, it takes us white males to make it all right again.

Totally agree. It's sad to see that just because Bush is an unpopular president, you can now blame the federal government for anything...including your own failures. I am also getting sick and tired of hearing that race had anything to do with this. Why is it everytime a disaster strikes the black community, and their own people commit rape,murder,and theft "the man" gets the blame? This is disgusting every way you look at it, and you have to be an absolutely blind left wing liberal moron to not see who is truly at fault here.

Hooray for a realist! Nagin along with Louisiana's hormonal governor should be locked up and tried for crimes against humanity. They are the ones that fell on their respective faces with hurricane Katrina. Nagin left hundreds of school busses idol. He did not even follow the diaster plan he had and the rest of those numb skulls had practiced. He abandoned his own people and so did the governor. She turned back immediate help and when it was too late she threatened to "punch-out" the President because the federal government had not come into "clean-up" THEIR MESS fast enough. That third world state has been a festering boil on the backside of this country. Now, we can see just how malignant it is. Could you imagine the likes of these bureaucratic miscreants if they had been in charge during the 911 attacks in New York City. God forbid......

I am 100% behind Mayor Ray Nagin, this man has done more for his citizens then any other politition that I can remember, this Man didn't set behind a camera looking pretty like GW Bush, hugging suvivors. Mayor Ray was out on the streets doing Manuel labor, getting dirty HELPING! GW Bush spent 2 days after the hurrican on fricking VACATION. In that 2 days how many people died? I would replace GW Bush with Ray Nagin in a split second, We need a leader who cares for the people first and his reputation last. RAY NAGIN FOR PRESIDENT

When the president visited New Orleans, he said the federal response to the disaster was inadequate. His words, not mine. When it became clear that the damage was far more than state or local officials could handle, Nagin yelled for help. The feds were none too quick to send it. Nagin might not have been perfect, but there's a lot of blame to go around.

A Bush supporter I am not, I think the man is the biggest Fake that ever lived. A Nagin Supporter I AM. This Man did what he could with the resorces he had. Nagin, got out in the street and did what he had to do to save his city. all other leaders spent thier time behind a camera taken the oppertunity to make themselves look good. in the meantime Mayor Ray was out there looking for dead bodies, begging the feds to step in and help. Mayor Ray is a regular Joe, who wants what is best for the people. Not a fake politition, like GW Bush, who only wants to go down in history. And he will as the worst Presideent this country every elected!!!@
