I am soooo pissed right now....On sunday I posted my table for sale on craigslist.com I got 3 emails by monday afternoon. Hindsights 20/20...wonder if they were all the same person????? Anyways, I responded to each and all w/b, 2 went no further..1 did. They asked me for my name (for check) and real addy to send check to...and my phone number. I, dumbass, provided all info. How can they write and send me a check w/o my info, right? RIGHT..lol So, Wed am (yesterday) I get a knock at my door...it UPS. So, I open it up and there is a check for $3,500 Yea!!!! Or so I thought ::(( I call hubby and he comes home. So, ofcourse, I am trying to verify check online and he calls the bank listed on the check. And, ofcourse, it is not real. The account does not exsist. The F'n numbers on the check dont even add up....accounts are 10-12 numbers, the longest here was only 9? Kinda wierd...so, I email the person saying I called bank they said it is no good.....are you trying to scam me? I got email back 2 words: you bastard. So, I email back calling the person a thief and I was turning them in to the FTC and would do anything in my power to help catch them. I got retun email: son of a butch. Funny they cant even spell! lol So, I called the FTC and forward all emails to the FTC. I was pissed because of what they TRIED to do to me. Now, I am pissed because they are doing it to other people. I can't help it, they lit my fuse. has this happend to you? tell me your story @ tiredofgettingrippedoff@yahoo.com
