T.O. Getting Benched    Back to the homepage
Views: 1062 Report
Though Ownes is definitely one of the most exciting players in the NFL to watch, I'm glad the Eagles aren't putting up with his crap. He deserves to get benched. He is the most selfish player and a bad role model. I hope the Eagles bench him for the season on the basis that his attitude is disruptive/abusive to the team. But at the same time, that would be a bummer as he is so fun to watch.

Bones (11/8): he's complete cancer to a team. Finally they figured that out. (report)
TicalBits (11/9): I hope no one EVER picks him up after this year. I also hope Drew Rosenhaus' little dynasty is short lived, as he is a giant cause of many of the problems between players and teams. (report)
Rexfish (11/20): Yep. You just can't have a player who is blaming his teammates and the coach for the team's woes. The coach has to have the respect of the players or they just run off madly in all directions. The players who don't get the spotlight have to know they're important too - it's not just all about stats (how many good blocks did T.O. throw for teammates this year?). Mind you, he could wind up in Canada, which wouldn't be good for us CFL fans up here. (report)
Bopper (11/29): Theres no way in Hell he will wind up in the CFL. He still an amazing player, and some ambitious coach on a losing team will take the risk, and try to sign him. He fills seats and brings in money. (report)

Anonymous (11/14): He cried in the endzone with a Steve Young game-winner in his hands, he danced with pom poms and played with Sharpies in his sock, he put the ball on the Dallas star and claimed victory over that whole franchise. He played in the Super Bowl on a still-broken leg and got over 100 yards receiving. You want to hate this guy? The Eagles cheaped out on a true winner. Who was sucking air in the 4th quarter of last year's SuperBowl? Not TO. I hope he plays again this year, and I hope its with the Packers--just so Favre can go out in style. Hate TO all you want, but he is fun and he is good, and I'd cry too if Steve Young threw me a touchdown pass. (report)
