My tabs are $355 to renew my car in the city. Without the monorail tax my tabs would cost me $94. I bought a used car 2 years ago but the f-ing brilliant monorail mafia uses the MSRP of the same make of vehicle to determine how much I should pay. Now the Monorail project is under scrutiny (again) for their stupid financing plan, aka black hole of debt. There's something definitely wrong with the bigger picture here. We're all getting monoraped!

Hmm... a "liberal state" with no income tax. I'll have to think about that one, mfwebb. The fact is the monorail should have been built twenty years ago. Unfortunately, there was a solid minority of Seattlites as the time that wanted to keep the place a logging town. Now, most of them have moved out of King County.

I was monoraped 2 months after I moved here - this was 2 years ago and there is still no f-in sign of this mono-debacle except stupid ads the proponents take out in the paper defending their project. Which of course will never be finished on time. So great, car tabs funding ads for a public transportation crapshoot. oh how I long for the ole N judah - it got me places.
