Oh, I truly believe in miracles -and they happen everyday- if we take the time to recognize them and believe that there is a higher power making these coincidences happen. I would think having your life spared, would make one reflect deeply and be thankful for the good outcome.

How about that feeling that you have done this before. This has happened to me quite a few times. Your doing something and then realize that - hey, "Ive done this before" but in reality it's the first time you have done it.

If you believe your friend was "saved" by a higher power, then you must also believe that that same higher power purposely destroyed the other people who were caught in the terrorist attack, many of whom were as righteous and deserving of life as your friend. I cannot conscience that position. I agree with Malachi Constant: "I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all."
