If you're like most Americans, you have probably heard about Kabbalah in the following context: Madonna does it. Of course, knowing Madonna's love of controversy and tendency to push the envelope on the public's sensibilities, a ton of baggage comes with the association of Madonna with Kabbalah. Maybe you think that Kabbalah is trendy or a flaky thing that the celebrities are using to appear more deep. Or maybe you think it's another publicity ploy or way for Madonna to continue to appear edgy. Maybe you think it is another self-help or new age movement, and perhaps it wouldn't be unreasonable for you to make these assumptions based on Madonna's reputation and that of other celebrities. But you'd be wrong. Dead wrong.
Kabbalah is the most powerful set of spiritual tools known to humankind. It teaches you how to plug into the power source of creation and bring inexplicable miracles into your life. Kabbalah shows you not only what to do, but why you should do it, based not on faith, but on results. Some of the things may seem counterintuitive, or even a little kooky, but the truth is that they work. It's really a technology, like the Internet, for example. When the web first became available to regular people and companies, my husband and I had a little dot com business where we sold Internet access to individual and institutions such as schools. Because the Internet was so new, we were constantly faced with the task of explaining to people that a web page was like a brochure, but it wasn't physical, and this was a difficult concept for people to grasp back then, as was e-mail. The only solution was to show the customers that it did, indeed, work. It is the same with Kabbalah. You really just have to try it yourself and see that it works in your own life. Try not to be put off by the whole Madonna thing, and just give it a test drive. To be fair, Madonna has created a huge awareness of Kabbalah. Thanks to her, you have a point of departure, so thanks Madonna!
