Looking for alien worlds in deep space    Back to the homepage

If your out there E.T., we are going to find you thanks to a new satellite built by CNES, the French Space Agency. Thanks to CNES, the hunt for the holy grail of deep space science, proof of alien life, is one step closer to reality. The satellite, called COROT or Conventional Rotation and Planetary Transits), is considered to be the best alien world hunting telescope in existence. Thanks to the satellite, those alien planets in deep space can be found, raising the possibilities of alien life on rocky worlds like Earth. The satellite uses a technique of watching for the slight dimming of stars in deep space, caused by an alien planet passing in front of it. This satellite can find alien worlds that are only one and a half times larger than Earth, rather than the monstrous gas giants usually found by using this technique or watching a deep space star's gravitational wobble.
