I had to laugh at the current issue of Weight Watchers Magazine (November/December 2007). They have an entire article about using your leftovers and in the very first leftover turkey recipe, they dont have any leftovers. Instead, you are to start with ½ lb of lean ground turkey and some onion and brown it in a skillet. Excuse me, but isnt that turkey burger? If I am starting with fresh turkey burger, where are the leftovers? I guess that if I am reading a leftover turkey recipe, I expect to be able to use my actual leftovers and not make new ones. While I loved the idea of making empanadas, it would have been nice to have an actual leftover turkey recipe that used the turkey from my holiday dinner. I dont know who had the bright idea of calling this a leftover turkey recipe, but maybe they need to learn the difference between leftovers and new. Perhaps cooking 101 would be in order?
