Late night muggings in the Marina and Cow Hollow

Just read a police report that there have been five sidewalk muggings at gun point in the last two weeks in Cow Hollow and the Marina. Just an FYI to be careful if you live in these areas! I guess the Marina isn't as much of the bubble that everyone thinks it is!

There have also been a lot of car break-ins in the garage right across from Johnny Rockets.

5 muggings in 2 weeks is a frightening statistic especially when you have a beautiful daughter who lives right there in the marina. It is always a constant fear that we live with. I hope my daughter takes heed and finds a close by garage that she can park in ,thus avoiding walking 4 or 5 blocks to her apartment late at night. Her grandfather is sending her a sign and I hope she takes action on this.

(7/21):
What sucks even more is that the reporting is scant at best. According to NBC11, there is now a crew if guys in 'skeleton masks' mugging people in the Marina/Cow Hollow area, but there was a short report on the 11:00 news and nothing else. I've searched several of the local news sites and NOTHING. The SFPD site shows just generalities.
