Get the splinter out of your own eyes. Why do the miserable rap culture artists who demoralize woman get a pass on stuff that is much worse than what a talk show shock jock says. Ridiculous. I don't like eye-pus, but I am proud that all my black friends think more like Alan Keyes and not like the left leaning liberal racists like Jackson and Sharpton who actually represent a very small contingency of the black american population.

Montresor (4/12): We need to stop giving anyone who sows seeds of hate a pulpit to preach from. That includes blacks and whites. Am I the only living person who remembers the Tawana Braxley Incident? In 1987, Sharpton along with two of his associates helped to perpetrate a hoax in which a young black girl, Tawana Braxley, claimed that six white law enforcement officers -- including then-assistant district attorney Steven Pagones -- had abducted and raped her, scrawled racial insults on her body and smeared her with feces. Miss Brawley refused to speak with authorities or the media, but Sharpton and her two other advisers were soon making wild claims. Sharpton compared then-state Attorney General Robert Abrams, a Jew, to Adolf Hitler. Within a year, a grand jury announced that the girls story was a lie. No rape had taken place. Al Sharpton had tried his best to get innocent white men tried for a crime which they did not commit. A 1983 FBI videotape showed Al Sharpton talking about laundering drug money with former mobster Michael Franzese, a Mafioso-turned-undercover-FBI informant posing as a cocaine dealer. But the drug dealer was really an undercover FBI agent in a probe of boxing corruption. In 1991, in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn after a 7-year-old black boy was accidentally killed by a car in a rabbi's motorcade and following Sharpton's instigation, a Jewish scholar was stabbed to death in retaliation. In 1995, Sharpton called the Jewish owner of a Harlem clothing store named Freddy's, a "WHITE INTERLOPER." A black man later set fire to the store, killing himself and seven others. Sounds to me like Al Sharpton isn't exactly the kind of person you would choose to monitor the morals of anyone, much less the racial harmony of our society. (report)
digitaldave (4/13): Thank you Montresor. Very well stated. It is refreshing to have an intelligent response and enlightened perspective. I too remember these horrible headlines. Sharpton never paid his $245,000.00 dollar fine or apologized for the Brawley case. I believe, Sharpton and Jackson and others like them, from all races are about to take a hard fall from grace. (report)
Whiteho (4/15): You are right, why is it that the rap culture can use any racial comment about any woman in just about all their songs and it becomes a big hit? Even the women they are referring to are proud to be called those names. But when a white man, who is a very kind hearted and generous family man utters three words during a very early radio morning show gets fired over it that becomes a completely rediculous situation. I can bet that not one of those girls on that team heard those words live, if it wasn't for the "reverend" continually repeating it all day long it could have just been chalked up as another morning show joke. Get over it... people of color, or is that the correct term today? You can say it but white people cannot, double standard?? What if it was reversed, how many times would it have been repeated that day? Think about it, and also you want to be equal than quit harping on how you are so called unequal. The Negro Collage Fund comes to mind, how many of those players are taking advantage of that? How many of them have family or friends that have visited Mr. Imus' Children's Ranch for FREE? Seems to me you can take it when it benefits you but if your insulted by a very small incident you blow it out of proportion and even then try to use it to your benefit, let's see how much we make off this one. We don't want to be called names, but if it works for us lets go for it and keep it in the media for sympathy. Actually letting it go and showing your education is being earned and not given would be a real good way to prove me wrong, start by demanding he get his jobs back and be the bigger person. Being in the lime light for sympathy using the "race card" isn't sympathy, it's pathetic. (report)
