I think it's lovely when a young person finds the courage to be a part of the public eye but still has time to be a kid. Miley Cyrus, who plays the lovable Hannah Montana, however, is under way more pressure than she needs to handle right now in my opinion. She's noted that she can't so much as ride her bike with her brother because the paparazzi is outside waiting for a statement about the teen's rumored pregnancy. What's so disgusting about the whole thing is that Billy Ray Cyrus, the Hannah Montana star's father, laughs off the pregnancy rumors and paparazzi harassment and consoles his daughter's tears over the matter with Ovaltine. Wow. The signs of stardom pressure have completely invaded and changed this teenagers life, making the possibility of drug use, premature sex and a failed education look like an inevitability and he's curing it with chocolate milk. How about a therapist and an educational vacation for the star instead? I'm certainly not saying she's not capable of being a star and having her own life. We all want that. But I do think it blows that her family doesn't see the warning signs. This little girl needs some time off to be a little girl and make sure she keeps her grip while serving as an icon for so many adoring people.
