Once you actually save up enough money to even think about buying a house, the hard part is just beggining. The asking price is just the tip of the iceberg! We looked for over a year and put in 8 different offers, ALL way over asking, all way more than the property was worth. NONE of which were accepted. Some houses had more than 20 offers on it. A warning to anyone entering the market - be patient and be aggressive.

And if by chance you can get a competitive bid in there: The good news: You got the house. The Bad news: You got the house. Rent....sure you dont own anything, but there is something to say for a little something I call "Cash Flow".
