The Ford Focus SES is a two doored coupe that holds up to five passengers comfortably. This car has a front engine, front wheel drive and starts at a base price of almost seventeen thousand dollars. The Ford Focus SES has a DOHC sixteen valve inline, four aluminum head and block and port fuel injection engine. There is one hundred twenty two cubic inches at almost two thousand cc’s displacement, one hundred forty bhp at six thousand rpm horsepower and one hundred thirty six lb-ft at four thousand two hundred and fifty rpm of torque.
The Ford Focus SES has a five speed manual transmission that comes standard and gets twenty four miles to the gallon when driving in the city. This car can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in eight seconds and has a top speed of one hundred and twelve miles per hour. It took one hundred and ninety feet to come to a complete stop from a travel speed of seventy miles per hour. The Ford Focus SES has a great platform and a comfortable ride, but it does not show much personality. The Ford Focus SES is, however, a fantastic “starter” car.
