John Edwards has said that "We don't have universal health care because of drug companies, insurance companies and their lobbyists in Washington, D.C.", which rings true, so true. The basic problem is that the drug business is choking us in many ways, from preventing quality care to trickle down to regular people, to enforcing that our heath care system is probably the most corrupt around. Allowing the drug companies to do this is not only un-American, but just wrong. Who is going to actually challenge the status quo and do more than just say our drug business is choking us, to getting in there and reforming the situation? Is it going to take a total crash of the system to break this choke-hold The Man has over us? I wonder if any of the candidates can really, for sure, break the hold. It might just take a radical change in our whole economy to change the facts of an ethically-challenged drug business choking us with their big-business mentality.
