Road and highway signage is a joke around the metroplex. And I've never seen so many rude drivers in my life! Traffic lights need to be retimed, road signs are hard to interpret (if they exist), and so many (not all) people drive like they don't have good sense. Learn to drive effectively and defensively. Drive with purpose and attention and courtesy.

Your right!!! Dallas drivers are so nice to everyone....until they turn the key in their cars. Then they suck. Rude, tailgating, driving fast.. I mean c'mon, I have driven in Manahatten and they drive much better than these hillbillies.

I am a Texas native and while I do not relish being called a hillbilly, I do agree that traffic and drivers on the highways of the DFW area leave a great deal to be desired. I drive Highway 635, Highway 75, Highway 30 and Highway 80 on a regular basis and "holy-shnikes". Have these people not seen the statistic that if we all drove the speed limit there would be no gasoline problems? Slow down people!!! The life you save may be your own.

I've made numerous trips to Dallas and agree that out of all the places i've driven (including Los Angeles and New York), Dallas traffic is horrendous and its drivers lack any courtesy or skill on the highway.

People here don't even know what to do at a stop sign for g-d's sake!
Yeah. Polite, Southern "to your face" pedestrians (behind your back, another story), but a-hole drivers.

I'm also a Texas native, and while I agree with Dallas traffic drivers being horrible (inconsiderate, self-centered, angry), I have to say that Houston drivers are even worse. I think it's a Texas mentality. People seem to think that they are the most important people on the road. If you're not them, tough luck. This is also shown in the new Hummers and large SUV's being driven. With all the talk of rising gas prices and pollution, how better a way to say that no one else matters than buy a huge gas guzzler. In the midst of all that's happening, I find it inconsiderate to buy and drive these monstrosities today.
