Imagine serving time in prison for a crime you did not commit and then 20 years later, because of scientist's ability to match DNA there is proof positive that you are innocent.

That would suck. But this technology can also help lawyers to put away without any reasonable doubt the criminal element that deserves it. That is why the death penalty should be enforced in every state. If there is 100% certainty that a person is responsible for a hanus crime then bye bye.
