Best dogs ever. Friendly, fun, great with other dogs, kids, and people you're trying to impress. Guys? Don't have girlfriend? Get a lab puppy. Lab puppy=chick magnet. Yes, they require a lot of attention, but they're so much like people and more fun than I could've imagined. So worth it (even if we did have to replace a sliding glass door she ran through and the entire backyard sprinkler system.)

Labs are great as you say but I perfer the Toy Poodle, I had four for about 20 years. The moma (Pearl), the papa (Bunga Jo) and the daughters )Vickie and Lady). They were the most lovable poodles I've ever seen. They are all gone now but after 2 years we got another one named - Ruby -another fantastic animal.

Well I agree! puppies are chick magnets! not to mention just wonderful company when you are all by yourself. I have a very small apartment and I found this awesome product called the pet loo from a friend who told me to check it out on www.yourpetessentials.com Really cool! My little doggy is having a wonderful time on it.

Even though I like the breed they do tend to be quite dopey and are much larger than anything I could cope with in the house I have (a border collie is my limit at the moment). Try a Jack Russell instead. Just as cute, small and can teach them some kool tricks without worrying so much that they'll break something.
