Especially at work. I just can't concentrate when there are other people in there! The worst is when there is a standoff with a person in the other stall and you are both trying to be reeeeally quiet and wait out the other person before you take care of business. My office is like 50 people so you can always tell who is coming in, and you KNOW they are looking at your shoes and trying to figure out who you are. I think every office should have one private bathroom.

Ha ha ha ...that's funny! Seriously, if you can't make bathroom noises in the bathroom then there's no place on earth that you can. Shrug and get it over with coz everybody with an ounce of common sense realizes this is a necessary room. There's no reason to be embarrassed. My pet peeve is when some hover pig sprays all over the seat and floor. She wants to stand? Okay that's the germophobe's perogative I suppose but even a dog knows to lift its leg. She can lift the seat. BUT...There are more germs on your computer keyboard than there are on the seat in the office bathroom and that's no lie. You can't catch anything from a toilet seat in spite of the prevailing public hysteria. I actually called the CDC about this and there has never been a documented case anywhere of anybody ever catching anything from a toilet seat. Pass it on coz I'm tired of looking at the hover pigs' waste emissions. yih.

I've definitely been there, but I'm too busy for the face off. Recommended reading: "Everyone Poops"

I was at a birthday party this weekend down in LA and somehow all the guys got on this topic and it was hilarious knowing that we all feel the same way about this. The unsaid rules of communal bathrooms are the best, but why not just have the dividers go to the floor. It would fix everything.

Bathrooms should be private.(period). They should also be sanitary and have excellent ventilation! These should be the standards for the workers and the CEOs! (guests too!)
