Chinese Love The iPhone

I occasionally see an iPhone around here. But if you go to any Chinese city today, you’ll find thousands of them in people’s hands and available for sale. The Chinese love the iPhone--and all technology. They have these immense superstores all over the place with millions of cellphones of all kinds available for sale--at reasonable prices. Everyone has a cell phone, but Chinese love the iPhone most of all. The iPhone became available in this country at the end of June, 2007, and I’ll bet anything the Chinese on the mainland were selling the thing that same day--if not earlier. I’ve been there when blockbuster movies appeared over here and within a day I could buy a CD or DVD of the movie for less than two dollars. Chinese love the iPhone and anything technological, anything new and interesting, and millions of Chinese love the iPhone and hundreds of millions of them are waiting to buy up our technological inventions. In this country, technology is so expensive, but over there it’s so comparatively cheap. China is the future, it seems, and we here are living in the past.
