Casio Z750 digital camera    Back to the homepage

I've had the Casio Z750 camera for almost 2 months now and it's been amazing. It's 7.2 megapixels with a 3x optical zoom. I bought this camera to replace the Canon S50 that I had; I really liked the S50 but I found I wasn't taking it with me very often because it was too heavy. So I placed a premium on getting a small, light camera. While the Z750 is small and light it has a huge 2.5 inch LCD screen, great for both taking and reviewing pictures. The battery life is insane; at a wedding recently I took about 50 pictures (all with the flash turned on) and about 15 minutes worth of movies and the battery wasn't even down to 75%. (The movie mode is really easy and shoots MPEG 4 640x480 at the highest quality setting.) There are tons of other features on this camera, too many to list, which is impressive given the small size and weight. The one complaint I've read from other users is that the flash is underpowered. Personally I haven't found this to be true; I've taken a lot of low-light shots recently and they've all come out great. I've even turned the flash output down in some cases. Overall, if you're looking for a subcompact digital camera with a lot of features this one should be on your short list.

Saigo (11/13): A great camera. The battery life is unbelievable. I go away for a week and don't even bring the charger. (report)
