Burning Saltwater deserves Nobel Prize    Back to the homepage
Views: 986 Report
Isaac Newton claims to have discovered gravity when an apple fell on his head. Now, a man named John Kanzius, who was and still is looking for a cure for his own cancer, accidentally discovered that when salt water (of any kind, from the sea as well as that made from ordinary table salt), is subjected to 14-megahertz radio waves and then lit, an intense flame is the result. Wow! What a concept. Back up the old jalopy to the seashore, fill her up, light a match--and away you go. Of course, John deserves a Nobel for his discovery, but you can bet that the discovery is going to be kept under cover while the energy companies figure out how to "refine" salt water, package it, and sell it to the public for $3 plus a gallon.
