There is this incredible emergency self-powered flashlight that everyone should immediately go out and buy. If we ever experience a major power failure, this is the #1 item to have on hand. It doesn't require batteries or replacement light bulbs. All you have to do to charge it, is to wind up the crank handle and the bright light will stay on for 45 minutes. I am going to put it in my kids Xmas stockings. I found them at Costco. They came 2 to a package for about 20 dollars. I know you'll be thanking me for this, It would be great for camping as well.
